Stats on shoving pre-flop/shoving river with a small pot
Does anyone have any stats on what type of hands people are shoving pre flop, or on the river, in the early stages of an SNG - when the pot is 10% or less of the average stack size. I see this play often enough to be curious about what hand range I should be calling with. At the moment I would probably end folding everything that isn't KK+ PF.
Even if it is just peoples personal experience of calling these pushes, I would like to know what the pushers are turning over. |

Re: Stats on shoving pre-flop/shoving river with a small pot
Well the problem [preflop] is that there is usually no overlay in the pot except the tiny blinds so any type of miscalculation of their range is very costly. Unless you've played with them and know they are a donkey don't feel too bad about folding decent hands like JJ/AQ.

in my experience which is skewed toward MTT's that big overbet shove= 22-66 and AJ/AQ...
I think you can call here with a pretty wide range 1010+ and AQ suited plus and be profitable over the long haul.. |
