light stands for a lighter version of beer doesnt it? (its a serious question, as we dont have it where I live)

If it really does, why do you buy light beer? Beer doesnt really have much alcohol in it and if you dont like the taste of beer you probably wont like the taste with a little less alcohol in it.

1 - it'll still get you drunk
2 - it's a lot easier than non light beer to consume in mass quantities, you don't get full as easy
3 - i feel better about drinking it since i'm supposed to be on a diet, even though i know its still horrible for you

generally, a beer's light version will have slightly less alcohol that it's "regular" version, but it's entirely possible for one light beer to have more alcohol than a regular beer.

and it's "light" because it has fewer calories

So, 3 Budlights = ~280 cal's and 12.6 alch

2 buds is ~280 cal's and 10.0 alch

um, isn't alch a % measurement? you can't just add those.

yeah so

budlight
4.2 (abv) * 36 (oz) = 151.2 (i have no idea what this number signifies)

and budweiser
5.0 (abv) * 24 (oz) = 120

i think you get about 25% more alcohol per calorie with bud light over bud
