I agree with the rest. The 4:1 is actually a clever point -- calling must be better than folding because you're getting 4:1, and shoving must be better than calling because it "always" is in these sort've situations, so logically shoving > folding.

Hero is not getting 4:1 on a shove but Hero gets nearly 4:1 (3.74:1) on a CALL.

why does this matter if you have determined this is never a call? we cannot include that in our calculations

yes, i know. and i never do call, and i hardly ever fold. but making a comment about how we're getting 4:1 on a call when we cannot do that is a very irrelevant point and should not affect our decision here at all.

like i said, i almost never fold here unless it was some weird bubble situation that would move me up in lots of $$. i'm not disagreeing on the end play of shoving, and i do apologize for creating a ruckus. my intention is not to get into an argument over nothing, just trying to point out that we as thinking poker players, cannot use that line of thinking since it is illogical and silly.

Barry...lately my own fistpumps have been hitting me in the crotch...ver painful and not recommended...

seriously...i said it before but variance has not been kind to me...making the correct plays by my radar and getting bent over...hopefully a weekend off will cure the mojo blues
