The PT replayer drives me nuts. You can't pause a hand while it's playing. Every button just goes dead until it gets to the end of the hand, on my computer anyway. The Poker Office one is a little better.

[/ QUOTE ]

Who actually watches the replayer as though its a movie? I only have it so everything is manual, thus the hand doesnt move unless I press enter or spacebar or whatever Im supposed to press.

This would be one of those "helpful to know" things that everyone apparently has to be taught at some point. Maybe Degen could hold a clinic. I don't use PT so I only dicked around with it a few times.

Wait, my emailed ones don't work there now. It doesn't show the holecards.

[/ QUOTE ]

Party put an extra 'space' before the first card in your hand history file, which is why the hole card doesn't show.

To get both hole cards to show, in your hand history file,
use a (good) text editor to do a global search and replace.

Search for
Dealt to <your name> [**3d 4s ]
Replace with
Dealt to <your name> [*3d 4s ]

I am using a '*' to represent a space.

I can get the hole cards to show with this change, but blinds and some showdown hands don't work that well...i don't know why.

Are you using the email HHs or hard drive HHs?

This is exactly what I ran into when I was trying to watch curtains' HD HHs in the tightpoker replayer. So it sounds like they update their email HHs to be more like their HD ones. If you find an old email HH from before the split, you can see why. Party completely changed the syntax of how the showdown is displayed.

There is a C (language) fix for this that will convert them on the tightpoker forums (you may need to follow the link to the new forums). But it looked like a big pain to me. But the cool thing about it is it lists all the requirements of what has to be changed. So I don't think it would be too hard to crank out a JavaScript or Perl version. I just don't feel like doing it when hopefully the tightpoker guy is coming out with his own fix soon.

From tightpoker.com: Latest Version 2.0 - Upcoming Release - Spring 2006

Take it for what you will.

It's not gonna and you're not gonna get showdowns. Unless you want to run the C converter or wait until "Spring 2006". Read my post.

I don't think the C converter should be all that hard to get going. I'm sure there are instructions in the forums from the guy who wrote it.
