lol @ Gwynn.

Helton swings at a pitch 4 inches off the plate and loops a single to left, and here's Gwynn (keep in mind, Gwynn would hit balls 2" off the ground for singles, and was a career like .338 hitter)

"That is why Helton is a career .331 hitter. That's just a great piece of hitting right there, taking a pitch off the plate and looping it 120 feet for a single."

lol Tony. What about the 9 out of 10 times he pops up to SS? Moran. I like Tony but praising a dude for getting lucky like that on a pitchers pitch is pretty silly.

I disagree. I think the ability to turn good pitches into base hits is a sign of a good hitter.
