calling 3 cold with AQo is bad IMHO.

preflop, i don't like calling 3 bets cold when a tight player raised in early position, and was reraised, and you have AQ, folding will save you money over time in situations like this. on the flop 3 betting with AQ can't be correct, it was bet by a tight player and raised before it gets to you, fold - you are not best. the turn was great for you, and your opponent shows he is a thinking player by not betting. when he checks to you you bet (if raised.....but that din't happen). the value bet on the river is fine, but your preflop and flop play are going to cost your a lot of money in the future.

if a moderately tight player raised UTG and you were next to act AQ is close to a CO and depending on his PFR% it could be either a fold or a raise...his PFR woul dhave to be high for it to be a raise. a majority of the time its a fold. see john feeney's essay "The AQo Test"

further, the moderately tight player raised UTG+2 AND was 3 bet. AQ is a fold here. everytime (assuming the 3 bettor is an average player...if he's a maniac an argument can be made for calling to isolate him on the flop or turn)

studies show, 60% of the time, it works everytime.
