When selecting a table, do you look for the highest average pot, specific buddies, players to the flop, or a combination of the above?
I was thinking of moving back to party from pokerroom, when I noticed that the average pot at PR 50NL tables seems to be much higher, plus their lobby is WAY more useful as far as scouting good games. Thoughts? |

I get on the waiting list for the ones with the highest pot. Ill get 3 or 4 open only intending to play 2.
After poker office has some time to get some data, I decide which ones to leave open. Usually Ill get one with a couple people seeing 80% of the flops. |

buddy list.
if that doesn't work, i usually pick 6-max tables with open seats and high average pots, play a couple of orbits and look for new buddies. |

Ave pot at PR50NL is not higher than party in my experience.
One thing to be mindful of is if you are 3rd or 4th on waiting list for a high ave pot table, by the time it opens up the dynamics / players may have changed (ie worst players busto). |

Forget about pot size and just go by % of players to the Flop. Although buddies take precedence.

[ QUOTE ]
Every table is a good table at 50NL. [/ QUOTE ] While I completely agree with this, I will put that it is a good idea to practice table selection just to get used to when you move up to bigger games. I, however, am a hypocrite and just join whatever 4 tables I can get on right away and start playing. Leaving tables as the need arises. |
