Re: Video: NL50 6max, 2 tables
At about 31:30 there's a hand where bobkill has two pair and he loses the hand to a bigger two pair. Then you say "that's really bad".. what do you mean? The other guy was a short stack, surely you have to go all in against a short stack with 2 pair? Or do you just mean that his check/raise was bad?

There's no way he should be slowplaying this here, since he can't reasonably expect anyone else to bet. |

I'll grant him the fact that he was able to generate a lot of dead money in that pot, but the only things calling him are hands that beat him or that have monster draws (basically a 50-50 coinflip all-in). If he thinks he's ahead he needs to bet that flop to protect. |

Re: Video: NL50 6max, 2 tables
This was a good video. You played pretty standard TAG game. 64 hand was bad, and I would not reraise a rock on a dry board because he is ahead and he knows it. I might float the flop to hit my 6 outs... but I'm a LAG... and reevaluate on the turn.
I saw you fold some suited connectors from EP. Even when the table was 5 handed and the passive donkey had the button, you folded 89s. I will not play drawing hands at aggressive tough tables, but I am definately raising here because it's a pretty weak table with straightforward play from everyone. Against passive players, being out of position isn't as big of a handicap. I would also open raise KJ from EP at this table for the same reasons. Like I said, I play lag. 72 hand: I like the turn check. When you get 2 callers, you will often see a stronger 7. People overplay their trips. Turn check is the only way to get some value out of a K. 89: it's a drawy board. The guy is drawing. Turn card is safe. You need to bet here. You can reevaluate on the river whether you should check behind, but you are ahead on the turn and you shouldn't let him draw for free. In general, very good video. Good solid ABC play. Make more. |
