25nl JJ vs lag/maniac
He's 44/24/2.25 but I don't think he's just giving away $$ PF. I could be wrong. This makes me sick. Call or fold? He got all his money flop set vs someone post-flop... so wtf?

Re: 25nl JJ vs lag/maniac
I can't see you being ahead here. At best you're flipping with AQ+. I don't think he plays 9s or 10s like this. Considering UTG's stack size, it looks like his raise was to induce a shove from the shorty. The original raiser could have shoved on you and easily showed QQ+.. If you're going to 4 bet, I'm not thriled about a fold to an all in. I would have folded pre and watch the shorty stack off.

Re: 25nl JJ vs lag/maniac
4-betting sucks here because no one really flats them and if they do you know you are in dangerous territory. I'm leaning towards a call/fold unless you've seen villain 3-bet alot.

Re: 25nl JJ vs lag/maniac
if he's raising 25 percent of hands he's got to be giving it up somewhat preflop.
I think he's likely to reraise a lot of pocket pairs, good aces... obviously differnt maniacs play differently (some openraise a lot but rarely reraise other players) Still, JJ is a reasonable hand to put up against his range... especially if he 3 bets a lot. |

Re: 25nl JJ vs lag/maniac
I dont think we can clearly label him a maniac yet. We only have 40 hands on him, op has stated he doesnt think hes giving money away pf...(he could be wrong), and he got all his money with a set on the flop

Re: 25nl JJ vs lag/maniac
45 hands is nothing, the guy could very well be using his stack to push you around, but to me I would open his range a little bit more to AQ and up. I would think the 4 bet is just a good indication to get out of the hand. Only way I would stick JJ in like that is if I knew more about the player and have seen him play this aggressive PF and seen him stick it in with JJ or worse.
