Re: where does a-rod play next season?
Why wouldn't you list the Dodgers? I think they are much more likely than most of those teams..there is absolutely 0 chance the Braves are interested. The Angels generally don't spend that much and have already said they don't want to pay anyone more than they pay Vlad. The Giants are trying to rebuild. Obviously the most likely is the Yankees..but I think the Dodgers could be a possibility.

Re: where does a-rod play next season?
The Angels are interested, and might pay.
The Giants aren't interested, and are in rebuilding mode. If this were taking place two years down the road, then maybe. The Dodgers are in a youth movement, and probably aren't interested, but I wouldn't rule them out. The Cubs are a strong contender. They have the money, will spend it, and there seems to be interest from A-Rod's camp. A-Rod and Pinella get along well. Probably the most likely of the non-Yankees crowd, but hardly a certainty. Red Sox - not a chance. They may feign interest to drive up the price, but no, it's not happening. Braves - not a chance. They are reducing payroll, not expanding. Yankees - if they keep Torre, they're probably the slight favorite. If they let Torre go, then the Cubs become overwhelming favorites to sign A-Rod. Really, the only players here are Yankees, Cubs, Angels, Dodgers, probably in that order. |

If the Yankees don't end up with Arod, I don't see anyone other than the Cubs throwing a ton of money at him.
I still think he ends up a Yankee because his price tag is so HUGE. Plus, the Cubs don't need another player who blows in pressure situations in the postseason. |

Re: where does a-rod play next season?
why in the hell would torre STAYING be a selling point? dude made him move from his natural position (where he is significantly better than jeter), and hit him 8th. ya, a-rod definitely owes it to torre to be loyal

He is a below average third baseman. I doubt he could play SS at a Michael Young level anymore. |
