You quoted the explanation. If he has KK/QQ he may shut down on an ace-high flop. If he has AK he may shut down on a raggy flop. If you push you just get him all in regardless, which is what you want. It's not like you have any deception with your hand when you flat call a 4bet - he'll put you on QQ+ everytime here.
