PAD - Clonie vs Dave WIlliams
I am not defending Clonie, but I see lots of posts dogging her play all the time. I really could not care less about her personally, but in this past week of PAD, I didn't think she played that badly. I thought David played much worse...
Can someone talk about some specific hands that she missed played. I also thought Dave is always try to make a move on people, to the point of overdoing it.... Just trying to learn man... take it easy on me... |

It's easy to play well when the deck's hitting you in the face. Add to that the fact that she has the most dour personality i've seen in televised poker and I can't stand the bitch.

Re: PAD - Clonie vs Dave WIlliams
Williams established early on (and has for his whole career) that he is a calling station and will pay off anything. Clonie never picked up on this and continued to try and bluff him. Williams is the last person you want to bluff -- instead, do like Juanda did, and value bet him to death and make sure he gets as many chips as possible into the pot as the underdog. Which he will gladly do because he is a fish.

[/ QUOTE ] dour (dʊr, dour) pronunciation adj., dour·er, dour·est. 1. Marked by sternness or harshness; forbidding: a dour, self-sacrificing life. 2. Silently ill-humored; gloomy: the proverbially dour New England Puritan. 3. Sternly obstinate; unyielding: a dour determination. [/ QUOTE ] Williams also established early on that he will often bet if checked to and try to buy pots, but I think he picked up on Clonie Gowen betting her nothing hands and checking her good hands a bit too predictably against him. What strategy do you like against a guy who will bet too much if you check to him and call too much if you bet into him? |
