Can't locate our wireless profile.

My laptop has stopped picking up our wireless profile. We have it set up with security and it is named. Any thoughts as to why all of the sudden, I can't even see that profile but see all my neighbors. all the lights are on on the wireless router. I
I've tried hitting refresh on my wireless manager (Intel pro thingy) but nothing. Also - I'm afraid to unplug the wireless router for fear it will reset and get rid of my roomates security settings (she wigged out on me when I touched it )

any help appreciated.

unplugging it will not lose your security settings. Did she hide the SSID (if not she should)?
