Dexy\'s Log
Alright this is my log for winter. I'm doing the weight training to further my tricking. I think my plan is pretty good, tell me if it isn't.
I'm 18, in pretty great shape already, I just want to further my tricking and tone my body. I'll be weight training 3 days a week, and I will be tricking as much as possible on non-weight training days. So basically whenever I can get an open gym. If you guys wanted, I could post some videos of me tricking, I'm not great but I'm progressing. Sunday Back Squats (4 x 2 @ 90% to start) Front Squats (5 x 5 @ 80% to start) Cable Pull-throughs (3 x 8-10) Weighted Pull-ups (2 x 10-12) Tuesday Push Presses (4 x 2 @ 90% to start) Weighted Dips (3 x 8-10) Standing Military Presses (3 x 8-10) Standing Overhead Supports (3 x :20 @ max military press to start) Thursday Snatch-Grip Deadlifts (4 x 2 @ 90% to start) Romanian Deadlifts (5 x 5 @ 80% to start) Bulgarian Split Squats (3 x 8-10) Unilateral DB Rows (2 x 10-12) |

Re: Dexy\'s Log
I'm really curious about those pull-throughs. Have you done them before? Which muscles do they work? I imagine the hamstrings, glutes and lower back, but I've never done them. They look like a really good exercise and I'm considering adding them into my program to help replace the squats that I'm unable to do.
Your program looks fun, where did you get it? Also, lots of squatting on day 1. |

Re: Dexy\'s Log
keys, pull throughs are for the entire posterior chain, glutes/hams/lower back like you said...check out some of tony gentilcore's articles, he always talks about them...

Re: Dexy\'s Log
Youtube tricking. It's a combination of different forms of martial arts, gymnastics, and other styles. It's pretty crazy.
Yeah, I got this from a guy who's very into tricking, and this is what he did for weight training. |

Re: Dexy\'s Log
Did a bit of tricking at a new gymnastics center that I'm going to open gym at. Wow, first time tricking on plyometric floors, it's insane compared to grass.
