89cc raise from CO flops flush draw and turns pair
Took a few months off, any comments?
Villain is running at 61/8/1.26, he gets to a lot of showdowns with marginal holdings I felt that the turn was a value bet against other pairs he would call with and draws rather than a semibluff, because he is never folding an ace. Re: 89cc raise from CO flops flush draw and turns pair
I'd just check it here, seems like a calling station. You might very well have the best hand here and there's no need to risk chips just in case you don't (since a 6 makes a straight). You'd be surprised at how many villains will call down 2 streets of pot sized betting for their flush draw/straight draw. Obviously implied odds don't mean [censored] to them.

U say that he will never fold an ace and going to showdown with marginal holdings. Are u trying to extract value from lone 7 or 4? Questionable! |

Re: 89cc raise from CO flops flush draw and turns pair
If he is never folding an ace, then I check behind on the turn here, as you may have up to 14 outs, and may even have the best hand.
If you are going to bet, it has to be more than $4.4, I like $6 minimum. He is never folding to that turn bet for that price. As played I check behind on river. |

Re: 89cc raise from CO flops flush draw and turns pair
Good point on the turn bet being atleast $6.
This has to be a check behind because anything you beat, will not be calling anything. Look at the ranges... Hands you beat: Flush draws anything with a 4 or 7 66 33 22 Total Air *** there's a good chance that any/all of these would have folded the turn Hands you lose to: Ax 8x 44 77 56 55 higher pocket pair Any bet here in my opinion would simply close out hands you beat and pay off ones you don't. |

Re: 89cc raise from CO flops flush draw and turns pair
Villain had JJ, which was very odd. I did check the river because I thought I was ahead most of the time and he's never folding an ace anyways. Just thought it was an interesting hand.

Nothin odd about that. You said he would go to showdown with marginal holdings. This is one.
