yeah, that was an awkward line by the villain.. i think you can make that call because in those situations the villain will be holding two pair.... you will see a straight also.. which i would be most afraid of... but you were priced in really on the river..
i might take a check call on the river... because his range is within a straight and maybe a check fold if he pushes on the river.... but that also depends on the villain..
