Default Re: Raise or fold what might be the best hand?

I don't think range of villain's hands is necessarily "weak" as much as I think it is wider than a normal late position raise, simply because of the good odds he is getting. Who hasn't played limit holdem before and had it folded to the in CO when you've posted a big blind. It is pretty hard to just check there, no? This is not quite the same situation, but still pretty similar.

So, he raised, which tells me nothing but the fact that he has an above average hand.

I want to make sure it is clear that this is NOT a value raise, even though it may technically be when i make it. This is nothing more than a positional raise based on the situation at hand.

If he has something like AJ or AT, i want to put the onus on him for hitting the flop.

Your thinking is fine, though I'd still just call pf, hoping to win a big pot vs a smaller one on the flop.

By the time he 3bets AK / J+ is the range I've got him on, in which case I just fold this flop, as I mentioned your reverse implied odds are bad here.
