Default NL 50 top set on monotone board

12 hands on the table. Villain is 31/5/2 over only 50 hands.

Full Tilt Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

MP: $50.30
CO: $52.20
BTN: $28.40
Hero (SB): $54.20
BB: $52.15
UTG: $45.15

Pre-Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
2 folds, CO calls $0.50, BTN calls $0.50, <font color="red">Hero raises to $2.50</font>, BB calls $2, 2 folds

Flop: ($6) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $4</font>, <font color="red">BB raises to $18</font>, <font color="red">Hero ?</font>

My question is, is pushing standard or spewing on this type of board?

i think a push is standard here. BB does this with a flush, yes, but I think he'd also do it with a lower set. Even if he has the made flush, you still have 7 outs to the turn, and 10 to the river to fill out.

I push here like always. He would be smart to do this with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and even if he already got a flush/straight, you got 10 outs twice or whatever. I think it's like 33% to boat up. Go fer it.

You are only behind if he has a made flush. Factor in the fact that people will do this with a FD and lower sets and the move will be +EV long run.

I think it would take a ninja read to lay this type of hand down.
