well, it would also include the guy who played one sng, lost and then stuck with cash wouldnt it? [/ QUOTE ] Yes but it is extremely unlikely that someone with no SNG experience is a profitable player in SNGs. |

This would include Chris Moneymaker, who is not a winning player but has showed a profit. I read his book, and there is no way he is a good player, as I found myself wanting to scream "donkey! donkey! donkey!" Some bad player scores big in the Sunday Millions. It is going to take him a long time to deplete that money if he continues to solely play MTTs, and never cashes out. |

Re: *****October LC Thread: LIMCASH is the new NLCASH*****
holdme,
just play man. do a little datamining first and find some droolers if you want. in my experience, people (not regs) at 1/2 have an uncanny knack of being both a little more aggressive and a little more willing to call multiple streets with total air (and hit later on). i've noticed a difference, but it's not huge. if you can beat .5/1 you can beat 1/2, but i'm sure you'll have swings. |

[/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] I only played the 100nl games for a short while a couple of months ago trying to parlay $1500 into a bankroll. Recently I've played quite a bit of 200nl and a bit of 400nl. Obviously the general standard improves as you move up, however I have played opponents of equal terribleness at all levels. If you're worried about moving up, just sit down with a player for 25 hands or so, play your game, and see how they respond. That's usually enough to get a pretty decent idea of whether they're going to give you trouble or not, and you can definitely find players at 200nl who won't. |
