$16 KQ in Blinds Battle
Villain had fishy stats, cant remember the exact ones, but loose passive for sure.
I was pretty sure to be ahead on the flop, imo there was no way he could have an Ace here. How would you guys play this? ps. a cookie for who can guess villains hand. Re: $16 KQ in Blinds Battle
I think I fold the turn. Seems pretty spewy to be fleted w/ 38 BB with just 2nd pr HU. Also on the flop I probably bet 400. Villain has QJ, A rag? Whatever it may be, I just fold instead of having to call down the whole way and jeopardize a good stack.

Re: $16 KQ in Blinds Battle
Of course he can have an ace. Your read is that he's loose passive and fish love to limp the a-rags.

Re: $16 KQ in Blinds Battle
Check behind flop and keep pot small for cheap showdown. Its too bad to stack off to big stack with your stack here with second pair.

Re: $16 KQ in Blinds Battle
I would check behind pf. He's loose (more unlikely to fold pf) and I really hate playing a big pot with KQ against the chip leader given the stack sizes. Too passive?
As played flop bet/check behind are close imo. Given his looseness I'm leaning towards checking. I fold the turn always. |

Re: $16 KQ in Blinds Battle
I really don't like the river or turn call. What do you beat? a flushdraw? that bets on all streets and bluff the river?
A bad queen that bet all streets? I think he has at least an ace. The high kicker aces he won't have very often since he would raise those preflop so I think he has something like A7,A8,A5,A3. or maybe 33. And you said he was loose passive, and still he bets pot on the turn, and you call? I would fold easily to the pot bet on the turn. Specially if you have a read that he's passive. |

Re: $16 KQ in Blinds Battle
I check flop, heads up is not a big worry flush draws u even have a redraw for the nut flush if the turn is a club and the ace is already out and the king is good for you.
Bet turn if checked like 2/3, if he bets, call and check river, and if he bets big on the river u have to give him credit. Did he have KT or QJ? |

Re: $16 KQ in Blinds Battle
Wow this is very bad.
I guess raising pre isn't bad, depends on villain, but there's nothing wrong with playing the pots small with these stacks. I hate the flop bet, hate the turn bet oh so much more, and kind of feel you might want to call river after having called turn, but no...no, I don't. Villain has Q4 |

Re: $16 KQ in Blinds Battle
villain had J3o. I was REALLY sure an Ace was out of the question because he would raise that Pre flop.
and I was unable to put him on a turned 2 pair here. I hate checking behind on the flop, cause i was sure i was ahead and checking would make it even harder to put him on a hand. But the HUGE turn bet should probably be a sign i'm behind. |
