Re: 108$ sng turbo ?

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] ok, what is your range if you have 2500 chips instead 3210 here ? [/ QUOTE ] Then you probably have to push any two cards I think. FE goes out the window the next hand. [/ QUOTE ] Even with 2500 chips i am not pushing anything less than top 20%. Blinds will hit my 2500 and so? i stll have plenty of FE with 2000 chips. Also I don't like John's comment: it doesn not really matter if you are well known or just a random player becase we are discussing a general case and the point is to find the optimal solution. Optimal here is to fold and, without reads, to fold a lot of hands, then if we are trying to make a sort of play then we are open to any moves but it will certainly be EV- in the long run. [/ QUOTE ] 2000? blinds are 400/800 |

Re: 108$ sng turbo ?
[ QUOTE ]
i don't think theres any question this is -EV in the longrun, but the question is whether you should take this -EV play in an effort to not be forced to take a WORSE -EV play later. [/ QUOTE ] Bingo. I think against pushing and folding are really close depending on how tight the table is calling. [ QUOTE ] but like someone said, you'll still have FE after the 800 blind, and can shove from SB next hand with any two and have it be more preferable than this. [/ QUOTE ] This is debatable. If you fold here and fold BB, you'll have 2400 to push from the SB, which is only 3 BBs if the blinds don't go up. Plus, you may not get the chance to push if someone beats you to it. Besides, it's kind of irrelevant since you can go allin from the SB if you steal now too. |

Re: 108$ sng turbo ?
Apologies, I made my reasoning based on 200/400 blinds.
Well nothing really changes, even being hit by 800 I am not pushing 100%. |
