Match a computer to my needs
I know there are tons of posts about this all the time, but you guys are so good at responding to them, I figured you wouldn't mind one more.
I'm looking for a desktop, but having problems picking one from what I see. I've never put together a computer from scratch, but if it's going to save me a good amount of money, I don't have too many problems doing it. Here are a few specs that I need. -Supports full resolution of Dell 30 In. Monitor -Doesn't lag while running PT, PAHud, Tables, AHK, etc. -A good amount of memory for databases, downloads, etc, but I can always buy an external TB HD if need be. -Is it possible to have wireless internet in a desktop? -Easily upgradeable when I need more RAM, etc. That's about it, but how much more would I have to pay to upgrade it to be a decent gaming computer as well? Thanks everyone |

Re: Match a computer to my needs
What's your budget? You could probably go to Best Buy and get one of their gaming specific machines and not have to worry about opening the case. The hardest part to find stock will be a video card that supports dual-dvi for the 30" monitor.
You can get wireless cards for your desktop, but you would be better off trying to run a cable |

Re: Match a computer to my needs
Budget is up to like 1500ish max. I would like to keep it around 1000, but I'll go up to 1500 if need be. What type of specs should I look for if I got to BestBuy and how often will they have a video card for my monitor because that is the most important part.

Re: Match a computer to my needs
Also since you know a little bit about comps, check out Cyberpower.com They have some of the cheapest comps out there, just their CS is suspect, but as long as you can fix simple things yourself, then I would go Cyberpower.
