Default did I play scared money? pair + flush draw pretty deep

Villain is 25/20/2 a little on the aggro side.

why turn your hand into a bluff?

usually when people play pair+fd aggressive on the flop its bottom or middle pair. no need for doing it with TP as we are good unimproved and only fold worse hands (we might get TPGKs tofold here, but not many)
