Re: QJo from SB in color
[ QUOTE ]
Is this second call good? I mean we are not usually playing QJo from BB agaisnt an early raiser and a caller, no? But BB range is much wider here, so it's good? What would be a typical range here? [/ QUOTE ] Second call is fine. While you wouldn't make the same call from the BB against an EP raise and LP call, obv that's not what you're looking at here. Flop play? Check and see. Bet-call, you raise. Check-bet, you call, and call one more back, fold to two. Check-check, I'm leading a LOT of turns. |

I must say I see some advantages with that play. PFR is squeezed and the pot is not so big, so he may fold many hands in his range? The problem with checking is that the pot grows bigger => our bluff equity gets destroyed. |

Re: QJo from SB in color
Pre flop is kind of sucky, but not completing QJ is terrible and folding the second time around seems bad getting 5:1.
I c/c. Donking is just too likely to blow out UTG when BB raises. I dont think we have any fold equity at all on this board anyway. |

[/ QUOTE ] Suppose u were BB: How will u play A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 88, A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] agaisnt the donk getting 7:1 with a player behind you? Suppose you are UTG and BB folds. How do u play 99-88, AJ, KQ? How about if a scarecard like a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], falls on the turn? |
