Hand 2 looks OK. I doubt that you won, but there isn't much else to do given the stack sizes.

Hand 1 needs a read to make a good judgement call. With even a little bit of a read on villain, you might be able to fold your set here. It just looks like he has exactly JT. Without any read at all, however, I think you have to call. He could have a lower set, 2-pair, some crazy draw, or who knows. You have a set, it is unlikely that he has a higher set, and you can always fill up to a boat if he does have JT.

I'd add that in hand 1 I prefer entering the hand with a raise.

I agree with your play of hand 2.
