If you're going to bet the turn bet more......about $4.50. As played I think the river call is fine.

Yeah, I see that, I just didn't know about making a decent bet with second pair.

Turn play was pretty bad here. Putting in less than half-pot allowed flush and straight draws to call profitably... either check behind for pot control, or bet pot. Checking behind might induce a bluff from weaker hand, even though that river card was pretty bad for you.
River call is marginal.... this is flush or straight much more than 35% of the time. |

Turn odds are 3:1, so no profitable drawing for a FD.
I'd still bet more. Bet something like 4.5$ River is a crying call. |

Turn bet definitely needs to be bigger... $4.50-4.75. If he calls that, I'm tempted to fold to his half-pot river bet given that most draws that just made it. I think an argument can still be made for flatting the river though.

This is always a tough spot on the turn because against someone with stats like that you don't know if he has Ace rag, or if he called preflop with some suited trash and picked up a flush draw.
He's not folding to a second barrel in either case, and when he calls we don't really get any information. However, it is roughly twice as likely that he has an ace than he has two clubs. I would probably just shut down here and check behind on the turn, and wait for a better spot to get this guy's chips. The river card is unfortunate and the donk bet is even worse, because this almost always means a made flush. Not many players at this level are good enough to represent a flush draw for the whole hand and bet out on the river when the flush comes in - and if he just had an ace he would be afraid of that card and probably just check / call a small bet - so I'm pretty sure you're beat. However, you're getting about 2:1 to call, so you have to be right 1/3 of the time, which is alright. I agree that you have to make a crying call here as played. |

Easy check behind on turn IMO. I get called down to often by Ace rag in these spots to make 2nd barreling 2nd pair profitable.
As played I dont see any worse hands betting here so river I probably fold river, although I dont hate calling |
