NL600: [censored] I\'m confused...
Seat 1: BB ($1,070.90 in chips)
Seat 3: UTG ($628 in chips) Seat 4: Button ($375.15 in chips) Seat 5: SB, Hero ($594 in chips) I think Villain is pretty solid. He's been multitabling somewhat the same tables as I for the past few days. No particular reads, though. The game was running around a donk, who busted some few hands ago. Hero is dealt: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (AKo anyway, not sure though which one...) ANTES/BLINDS Hero posts blind ($3), BB posts blind ($6). PRE-FLOP UTG bets $20, Apox1 folds, Hero raises to $65, Button folds, Villain calls $45. FLOP [ A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ] (pot: $136) Hero checks, Villain checks. Not the best flop for me, but not the worst either. I opted to check because I'm OOP and Villain seems solid. If I want to play my hand strong and Villain has the goods I lose my stack, but I can't figure out a scenario where I would stack Villain. Even still, I should've fired, and be happy if I take the pot down. TURN [ Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ] (pot: $136) Hero bets $62, Villain bets $166, Hero calls $104. Time to feel around where I'm at. Villain's reraise seems awful a lot of a suck bet. Although if puts me on TT-77 type of hand, he could try to raise me out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I call - is my hand now face up? I can't be calling here with anything else except an ace (+ times when I slowplay), right? Would it be also better that because I checked the flop, I should check the turn also. If it goes check-check I can valuebet river? Because If i bet here, and get called, how thin my river value will be? RIVER [ K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ] (pot: $468) Hero checks, Villain bets $397 and is all-in, Hero... Btw, should we have leaded this river? Unless we wanted to induce a bluff. I put Villain on a bluff, JJ, QQ, AQ (He might lead this on flop pretty often?). Anyone gives him credit for AJ for pushing chop-pots off the hand? |

Re: NL600: [censored] I\'m confused...
I can not see him bluffing river after turn action.
I fold river, you don't beat ANYTHING. |

I think I fold to the turn raise unless he is really bluffing you a lot here.

Re: NL600: [censored] I\'m confused...
I definitely check the turn as played. There's no value in betting and he could bluff hands like TT or something.
The river is a fold, he's not bluffing and could very well have a monster. |

Re: NL600: [censored] I\'m confused...
Yup.
I ended up folding because I thought I wouldn't beat anything but a bluff. 20 hands after this I asked in chat what Villain had, which he replied to: "66 for bluff". I think his line is consistent if he really had 66, but quite frankly I had hard times to believe him. Good read by Villain, if he really had sixes. |
