I have to say that Manny's insta-pose is right up there with Fisk's waves in '75. An unreal, savage jack. Agreed completely with the poster who said "why not walk Manny if you're walking Ortiz?" I was screaming this at the bar. Make Lowell beat you, f'crssakes.

Wild pitch, wild shmitch. Manny's 2nd all-time on both the post-season HR & reg. season grand slam lists, among his many "non-clutch" stats.

I don't remember who was on first if it was Youk or Pedroia, but neither of them are exactly speedsters and a guy at 3rd will score 100% of the time on a single whereas a guy at second won't, so yeah, I disagree with that.

I guess it like watching an atom bomb go off. The 3rd is the mushroom cloud, which is awesome to see. I kind of like the flash of blinding light at the moment of detonation. (the catcher's quick exit is great too!)

Not always on a sharp hit to left. Which reminds me of a time a few years ago when Manny was up in a similar spot (bottom nine, tie game, winning run on 2nd) and he pulls a hard grounder through the hole, and raises both arms in victory celebration on his way to first. But the LF charged and fielded it cleanly so they had to hold the runner up at third. Manny got to 1st base, and looked kind of confused...

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] that guy.

The wife and I were out at a great Japanese restaurant about 40 mins ago.

Headed to the game tomorrow, can't wait.
