Default (100NL) AA vs Feisty Regular - did I get set mined?

Villain is 12/8 , very high AF 10-tabler. He seems to have a personal thing against me and has been coming after me regularly, and berating me in chat when I lose pots. We have been having some battles, me 3 betting him light, him looking me up light etc.

as much as i hate it i call for sake of pot control and reevaluate on river...although when you check on river he's prob betting into you a high % of the time and yet another tough decision arises. I'm not sure your beating much here with the exceptions of a bluff and some drawing hands...his raise is smallish on turn and seems to be begging for a call, which means he's prob beating an overpair... 77 fits right along w/ play, along w/ 55 44 JJ. Seems like one of those "im not sure if im raising for value to keep you in or if im raising to protect my set or a bit of both maybe" plays

theres gonna be 85 dollars in there on the river if I call, I don't think that's pot control. This seems like a push or fold to me.

The hand is a really tricky spot and tbh I dont know what your best play is (perhaps checking a street for pot control/induce a bluff).

But what I do know is that the situation you descibe with this guy sounds -EV. Unless you have a big edge on him then I would avoid his tables (especially avoid sitting to his right).
Maybe point out to him that the only winner when regs target regs is that the site makes more rake.

Thats just my opinion though and if you like the battle of wits with him then thats cool.

call turn and check river is spew. Even if we had sligtly larger stacks.
If he is ahead he always bets the river. Most hands that we beat check behind. With a river c/c we pay off all his made hands and only pick up some bluffs.
As said I (check) raise or fold the turn. Against a reg I prolly fold. But if he looks you up light I'd like a c/c turn and donk river.

Just wondering, is this against Bucky? Regardless, I think you should go ahead and pitch the hand. If he's pushing you off with a weaker hand, more power to him. You can pick a better spot than this to get your money in.
