how do you guys generally handle spots like this? chk and see who bets and if they pick up a call? just fire one bet and be done with it?

but you have the best hand often,
and checking leaves you guessing a lot.

say you bet and get called buy the really bad player in the BB....turn is 9 of diamonds....check behind and hope he lets you off hook on river with 88-TT or something?

pretty much.

I think depending on villain, you can call a bet on the river.
but more often then not, I think river can be a fold once you're called on this flop.
