i read the thread and my comments would be that your tastes are prolly to refined for most of the people here. i don't mean to be rude to 2p2s gen. pop. but most people want a watch everyone will reco as nice and they can sell down the road if they want to. to this end i think rolex and cartier are def the best options, with some others, obv, but in my experence they are by far the two easier watches to sell. i dunno if this is correct but this has been my experence.

2nd do you ownb a watch winder, if so are you happy with the purschase?
and what should i get a royal oak or a presidental in plat. or some other door #3?

[ QUOTE ]
why do people like watches with all those extra funky dials on them

i think they look stupid

and you keep saying [censored] like "its a piece of jewelry not a timepiece." who cares. we just want something that looks sweet, we don't care if we have to change the battery once a year.

mlagoo you have a movado correct? I remember seeing you at turning stone when you sat down late for the tourney and the first thing I noticed was your watch and man it was pretty nice.

That is all

I want to buy a rolex and Am looking to spend around 5000$.
Anything you can recommend for this prize range or is this too little?
Also if not rolex what would you buy for around 2000-5000$, im a 19 yo and dont dress/look that flashy so the watch should fit in.
Also will ppl be able to tell it's real?

Just started the process of buying a watch for myself... So far this is the nicest Cartier that is in my price range (5K). Anyone see anything nicer?

I have a Cartier Roadster like so:

It's a really nice watch and looks pretty classy, I always find myself being drawn to Jacobs watches though... hmmm. I think they're more balla than classy, will have to be my next watch I guess lol

uh, great thread.
allright, what would you recommend when it comes to "understatement" watches? meaning no bling, no gold, no jewelery, no fancy 214235345 extra functions.
i really like the looks of
but rather in the range of 1,5k-3k dollars.
its gotta be medium-small sized and i really dont like gold/steel bands.

thanks
