Re: NLDS: Game 1: Rockies at Phillies
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] It must be miserable to play for the Phillies. They go on a great run to win the division and then they get booed like crazy because they lose in the playoffs. Obviously, I wouldn't be happy if my team lost the first two at home, but [censored]. [/ QUOTE ] Phillies didn't win the division. the Mets lost it. There is a huge difference here. [/ QUOTE ] Dear Douchebag, The Phillies closed the season 13-4. That is a pretty nice run to win the division. Also: 1) The Phillies should have let the tarp blow off of Adolf Coors Field and smothered some of you holier-than-thou fans. 2) Your "Evangelical" team is lame 3) Your mascot is totally gay. 4) You couldn't even sell out your play in game. Also, of course fans are going to boo. We booed Manuel pulling Kendrick, a prescient boo if I have heard one, and we booed Jose Mesa. Jose has an ERA over 7, and couldn't throw a strike. [/ QUOTE ] Dear ASB Scoreboard Our mascot is gay? Have you seen the Phanatic? |

Re: NLDS: Game 1: Rockies at Phillies
Are you guys seriously arguing about whose mascot is gayer?
Phillies fans resorting to insulting opposing teams mascots. I love it. |

Re: NLDS: Game 1: Rockies at Phillies
No wonder the Phillies have lost over 10,000 games. With fans like theirs, I'm not sure why they'd actually try to win.
No playoffs in 15 years, and all it takes is one bad decision for everyone to kick you in the junk. Good luck seeing postseason action again before the year 2022. Philleis fans don't deserve to have home playoff games to get to buy tickets to. You know what? If the Rox hadn't come back in the 13th to beat the Pads on Monday, nobody in the stands would have been booing the team or Clint Hurdle. Instead, we'd be thankful for having the best season we've had in a long time, with great hope for the future. I'm going to enjoy bringing my broom into Coors Field tomorrow. I'm sure whoever we play in the NLCS will have classier fans, at any rate. |

Re: NLDS: Game 1: Rockies at Phillies
Rockies fans,
So does that mean that your mascot is the first openly gay mascot in all of sports? If so congratulations, it took courage to come out of the closet like that and you can only imagine the looks he's gonna get in the mascot locker room. |

tuq won't be able to show is his face in any subsequent rockie threads after game 3 lololol [/ QUOTE ] Nah, I was just poking fun at the person who called the Rockies' mascot gay, but of course some random noob Rockies homer took it personally when it was actually the other way around. But seriously, there's nothing wrong with being a gay mascot. What is it, a gerbil or something? I can't remember. |
