WTF at Juan Dixon. Why are you mentionning him. Have you even watched a Raptors game since he got there midseason? He is irrelevant. My point about TJ and Calderon is that they are primarily shoot first point guards and do not "inflate" Bosh' stats with easy assists to easy baskets.

By the way, is it easy to see that I'm a Raptor fan?

[/ QUOTE ]
I had no clue you were a Raptors fan honestly. I think Bosh is a fine player, and I'd probably take him over Amare(although it'd be close). But I think DHo is already better and by his prime will be clearly the best of the 3.

I've watched enough Raptors games and seen enough of Juan Dixon to know that he was the primary reason that team went from laughingstock without him to playoff team with him. The man call ball. Period. And it doesn't always show up on the stat sheet, as he probably does more "little things" than anyone in the history of the league.

Assani,

I mostly agree with you, but you fail to mention FT%. It hurts the scoring efficiency thing a little bit.

[/ QUOTE ]

agreed.

Maybe I'm too high on Howard, I dunno...I just think that once he develops one or two decent postmoves and some touch that he'll be a Shaq-type force. Is that going overboard? I mean, hes still only 21 years old! He could easily add another 20+ lbs of muscle as he matures

#20-50 is really tough and takes a lot of thought imo since there are so many comparable players. I don't have the time for that right now, but I'll throw out a quick top 20:

1. Kobe
2. Duncan
3. Lebron
4. Wade
5. KG
6. Nash
7. Juan
8. Dirk
9. Howard
10. Arenas
11. Ming
12. Bosh
13. McGrady
14. Kidd
15. Durant
16. Pierce
17. Melo
18. Amare
19. Gasol
20. Boozer

Note: Brand and Oden not eligible for my list due to injuries

Boozer too lower

[/ QUOTE ]

I can't speak for fjbourne, but personally I want to see Boozer do it for more than one year before I put him any higher.

For 3 straight years Boozer was a 16 points, 9 rebounds, 53% FG%, 2.75 assist type of guy.

Last year he put up 21 points, almost 12 rebounds, 56+% shooting and 3 assists.

If he maintains that for one more year then I'll move him up.

Every other one of your critiques I think I agree with, as I have those players either higher or lower than fjbourne does in agreement with you.

I put the list together very quickly. I could see the argument for sliding Gilbert down to #12 and putting Ming and Bosh ahead of him, so I won't bother to argue there.

However I will take Arenas ahead of McGrady due to McGrady's injury proneness and the fact that Gilbert may be still improving while McGrady has probably hit his peak. It is very close though....

-They both score a ton, and its very close...Gilbert is more efficient though. He shoots a higher FT% and shooters a higher eFG%.

-McGrady gets a rebound or two more per game; Arenas gets an assist or two more per game.

-Arenas turns it over more

-Gilbert gets more steals; McGrady gets more blocks. McGrady commits less fouls.

I did go back and forth between Dixon and Dirk. I think that the top 9 are clearly tier #1 though. I'd have no problem slotting Dixon anywhere from 1 through 9 really, so I won't disagree with you.

I think Durant is going to be even better than people think. I mean like "we've never seen this before" type good. I could be wrong though. But I wouldn't be surprised if hes flirting with 40 points per game in a year or two.
