I like Scotty but he can act like a bitch sometimes.

[/ QUOTE ]
He said he got cocky, thought he was invincible and blew it. It happens, I felt really bad for the guy. AT LEAST he recognizes his mistake. Take note, Phil Hullmuth and others.

I realize he went overboard, but I still love watching him play every chance I get. He's not perfect, but he's got a lot of charisma and he is definitley in my top 5 favorites.

why is no one mentioning scotty's blatant slowroll when hilm went all in with KQ against scotty's 99 on the 55T9 board?

[/ QUOTE ].

You consider that a slowroll? I think that is being a tad too critical! Hilm bet and Scotty considered his position and the fact that he could get knocked out if he called and Hilm had him beat (Scotty did not have the nuts) - he called in not an unreasonable time and Hilm turned his cards over fairly quickly, Scotty then turned over his cards in short order.

Maybe slowroll means something different to what I'm thinking of?

[/ QUOTE ]

It has two meanings in this context. Scotty had a huge hand and at that stage of a tournament was never folding. Ever. He made a big show out of counting his chips, doing the odds and then "reluctantly" calling. Hilm looked shocked when he saw his hand.

it was a blatant slowroll - no question about it.
again, if an amateur had done this, we'd be all over him a-la Jen Harman straight flush hand from last year.

I love Scotty, but there's no question in my mind he knew he was calling.

theres a minor detail some people are missing.

scotty would have had as much rest as everyone else, as there was a 1 day break after the final table was set.

AQ on a Qxx rainbow flop in a blind vs blind is the nuts.

[x] spoiler alert

[/ QUOTE ]

How is this a spoiler? The title tells you exactly what the thread is about. If you haven't watched it yet, don't read. Pretty simple.

Also, if you don't know by now where Scotty finished in the main event that ended in late July, where the hell have you been?

[/ QUOTE ]

You're right, it isn't really a spoiler, but it is arrogant for the OP to believe that his opinion of Scotty's play was so important that it deserved a new thread instead of putting it in the WSOP thread where everyone else is analyzing the play of Scotty and others.
