There's a hudge disctinction between saying "I'm going to stab you in the probiscus" because a person says IMO differently than you, and saying "If I see you in vegas this summer Im gonna kick your ass" in a real fite.

There's no reason to not give established and awesome posters a pass...thats how bbv4l always has rolled, by making distinctions based on funny, not hardfastrules.
