Actually, I think I play it like you did, except that I pot or nearly pot the flop.

Re: 27$ - limped 77 becomes an overpair
I guess id play same on all streets. Folding turn is too weak i guess. Although i might lead turn to take initiative in my hands and bet 200 to see what happens, if im reraised id fold, otherwise we might get a cheap showdown. If we are ready to pay half pot i think it wont be too bad to bet it out and find where we stand, might slow down a bluffer since we can't afford a river call.

Re: 27$ - limped 77 becomes an overpair
Not sure what you're beating on the flop that villain's raising with.
If you're planning to check/call a blank on the turn, you might as well 3bet this flop because that will define his hand a lot better. I usually just fold though, like i said above I don't think you're beating anything unless he just likes to bluff minraise and you already know that about him. |

Re: 27$ - limped 77 becomes an overpair
flop call of minraise is somewhat thin, just dump the turn.

Re: 27$ - limped 77 becomes an overpair
Ok i thought about it and i guess you are right its something between
1)fold reraise 2)call reraise , and check/fold next streets, which would be probably bet after flop reraise, so we are drawing to 7 or A if we wanna get a showdown which isn't good draw at all. 3) 4 bet flop if we think it might work, i guess we can make some better hands fold this way like 88-TT 4) call all the way if opp is donk - hes betting pattern is very donkish.. reraise flop, and bet same amount on turn... |

Re: 27$ - limped 77 becomes an overpair
I loathe hands like this. There's no way to tell if villain has a slightly larger pocket pair, semi-bluffing with a couple of overcards, or just an idiot.
The problem on the flop is that villain could easily be bluffing. If you bet the pot, or even more, on the flop, then get reraised, it's a lot easier to lay down. |
