No freaking way is the standard 3betting range of a readless 25NL player = KK+

I assume AQ+,TT+ and I suspect that is too tight.

I hate it he doesnt got the Jd even villain will keep betting when ahead, and stop a lot with beaten hands.

Nice post Antinome.

I think the problem is that he might be checking behind his Adx hands behind. Anyone like calling the flop to push a blank turn (ie non diamond, non A/K/Q, that's a lot of cards though...) ?

I sometimes fold JJ to a 3bet preflop when I'm OOP cause it seems to always lead to very marginal spots. And it's true that an unknown usually has a tight 3betting range at these limits (even though after a couple orbits the TAGs will begin to reraise steals).

calling flop/pushing blank turn was my first thought, but our equity doesn't really increase that much on the turn.

You are calling 5.5 to win 12.85, 2.33:1... 1/(2.336+1) ... needs 30% equity which is exactly what you have. Calling is fine.

we need better than our immediate odds cos of RIO.

I totally agree, I think this is a fold...he's slowing down with most hands that we're ahead of on the turn and we're stacking off against everything that beats us (like OP did.)

anyone fold preflop seeing as we don't like this flop?

if you don't stack off on a 8d6c2d flop you need to be folding pf. this flop is more questionable because loads of AK combos are still flipping with you.

I guess I think that the monotone flop and us not having a d changes this from a flop I'd stack off on to one I'm willing to let go, maybe that's a leak idk.

Ive started thinking to myself "If he pushes am I going to call" If the answer is yes then I push myself.

FE is a crucial part of maintaining a strong win/rate.

On the hand itself, you dont have any information on the villians range, excpt that it involves 3-betting pf and betting flop, pushing turn.

99 and TT are about the only hands you beat. They most likely slow down. QQ+ are as likely as 99/TT, but these mostly do shove turn. A:diamonds:K is also possible. Here you are slightly ahead...

I think I call the flop and fold the turn.

I storngly disagree its either shove or fold on the flop. If we call this flop what better turn card can we ask for?

Is raising more profitable than calling at any point? I don't see where, unless his cbet push-calling range includes AQ,AK with no diamonds.

[/ QUOTE ]
Do you call any turn? If not, which donīt you call? Any non-diamond non-ace turn? I am worried we might sometimes fold the best hand on the turn.

I would probably cr the flop ai. If black AK with 25% equity folds that is a pretty good deal. Also, if we occasionally throw in the occasional 73o type of hand with one diamond, that would also be pretty swell if they folded. Not saying that he has those kind of hands very often, but it happens.

So not folding the best hand by mistake and folding out hands with good equity against our hand might be two reasons to raise.
