Re: Tipping the Dealer and getting PAID
I have heard of dealers trying to affect the action of another player when HU against someone they like. For instance they see the cards all the time so they know peoples playing style pretty well. If they like me and think I am bluffing and want a fold they might say "sir you can fold, call, or raise" emphasizing fold just a little. And when they think I have a good hand and want a call they may say "sir you can call, raise, or fold" once again emphasizing call. Not saying they all do this but I have heard of some that do.

Re: Tipping the Dealer and getting PAID
My friend once tipped the shufflemaster and got AA 5 times in a row. It was unbelievable!

Re: Tipping the Dealer and getting PAID
tipping dealers = silly and useless. unless of course youre one of those sick degens who spend 25 hour a day in the casino and your only friends are the dealers. so youre basically paying the dealers to be your friend. pass.

tipping dealers = silly and useless. [/ QUOTE ] Not at all. Dealers get most of their income from tips; they literally can't make a living wage without them. Also, tipping means good dealers get paid better than bad ones, which (at least in theory) increases the total quality of the staff. |

Re: Tipping the Dealer and getting PAID
Thanks for all your posts.
I personally think that it could be all coincidence. I usually tip well(around 5 bucks instead of a 1 chip) and ultimately do pretty well. I just like to spread the wealth to the dealer for the "good cards". The real moral to this is in order to get PAID, play your game and keep robbin them blind. p.s Never, ever berate the fish!!!! Always congratulate them on a nice hand. And never forget to tip the dealer, the next hand you might turn up could be AA!!! |

If she could give him good cards why QQ and not AA. [/ QUOTE ] Because by giving someone else AA, and by 'altering the flop' so you hit your set, you're guaranteed action that way. I for one believe OP is 100% correct. If you tip the dealer a lot, they'll be more inclined to use the shufflemaster foot controls underneath the table. But they can't be too obvious because the EITF (eye in the floor) sees everything. The surveillance team is specially trained to look out for these things. |
