Default Aruba Time Collection

Just got back from there and played a bit at the 2/5 game at the Radisson. No rake, just $7 per half hour. This sucks right?

when i was there last year the time collection was insane, the floor was terrible, waiting lists were bad, the casino didn't have enough chips, and dealers were bad. the games, however, were possibly the best live cash games i have ever played in so it was worth it. there were many venezuelan's in the 5-10nl games who would sit with 300-500bb's play 80% of the pots and stack off very light. wish i could have come this year.

When i was there in March the Raddison game was 2/2 with a $5 bring in. The rake was 10% with a max of $10! When i go back next year, i would be much happier with $7 time charge / half hour.

I played there last July, there were 2 tables going, a lousy touristy $1/2 and a full $5/5 with 8 regulars chopping the blinds every hand praying for some stupid tourist to sit and the game and donate to them.
So I oblige and walk up to the table and ask if anyone objects to me buying in for $2000 so I wouldn't be the short stack in the game. They couldn't get me chips fast enough. The floor knew all of the players by name, it was 2 or 3 natives and the rest were Americans and South Americans who now called the island home. The dealers were ok and I even toked them $10 on a $20 pot just to look like a mark. The dealers liked me. The rake was terrible but I didn't care, I just asked alot of poker questions and played pretty fast for the first half hour. I picked up a few decent pots and really tightened up but no one at the table noticed. I flopped some really big hands and got payed on every one of them, it was sick. When my friends stopped in to pick me up on the way to St. Nicolas for an evening with some lovely Columbian ladies the whole crew complained and shot me nasty looks, I cashed out for $5000 and the ladies were on me!!!!! The game didnt get off for the rest of the time I was there, they only had the $1/2 and some horrible donkaments going but the summers the slow season so what can you do. $7 a half sounds very fair for the money that you can pick up in that game.
God, I really loved Aruba. Did anybody who was there get to eat at The Flying Fishbone? Best seafood I had in a long while.
