Re: TPTK gets action early in $5 5kgtd
[ QUOTE ]
I think this is a really complicated hand where bet sizes are most important. [/ QUOTE ] I agree. I think betting like t500 on the flop is probably a better flop bet (w/out remembering the stack sizes). Edit: Yeah. Bet nearly t500 on the flop. If you still get two callers, you might strongly consider check/folding the turn even if it blanks (depending on how good your opponents are). |

Re: TPTK gets action early in $5 5kgtd
Early in a $5 buy-in I'm ready to stack off here unless I have a strong read on villains.
If we're worried about button (that he has a big hand) I would think he'd try and protect it against possible straight and flush draws by raising our flop bet (after he flats our flop bet there's still two other players still potentially in the hand). I find that a random villain at these stakes might not overprotect a hand against a straight draw but those two diamonds will induce a raise. I know we should be trying to play optimally (and not bring our play down to donk level by felting so easily with just tptk), but I think tptk is good here enough of the time that these opportunities to chip up early benefit me more than the occasional time I run into a monster. |

Ok, I actually ended up checking, which was probably bad having got here, but I was completely lost and didn't have a plan. Button bet 875 and BB called. Hero ?
