You have only one pair
+ villain calls on a very drawy and paired board + worst possible turn card (besides 7c) + villain reraises all-in ("I beat your overpair") = easy fold |

Do we check the turn for pot control? Especially with that turn card?

I think this is a call. There is a chance he has a set, but you still have outs to the flush and fullhouse. There is a chance he would also make this play with a hand like Ac7c.

You might think of checking the turn here and calling a decent sized bet if he fires one and then reevaluating on the river. That turn card was bad since he called on the flop, but I still think he'd fire away with a flush draw more often than a set.

What do you beat, that he would bet with, any overpair, top pair on board (trips), flush or straight has you beat.
Fold because you can't really beat anything. |

Villain could have a flush already (hero is drawing dead most of the time) or a straight, or two pairs, or an overpair (and hero is drawing slim or dead, if one of the cards is a club).
You only beat a bluff, just fold. |

I mean I still feel like I am ahead the vast majority of the time on the flop, so maybe in this case I should have checked the turn and then depending on what the villain does make a decision. |
