Yep, but that's -115. I'm looking for a better price on +3, and I suspect it is likely enough to be available tomorrow to be worth waiting for. If I were betting it now I would take the -115 and get onto the 3 before I bet +2.5 +104.

yea i remember how the cardinals responded to a death last season, and if memphis is even half as affected, marshall +3 is the play. i can definitely seem some barely division 1-A athletes not getting up for this game, even if it is on television and important for their school. i almost bet this last night, and am sorta surprised to see the number move.

on the other hand, maybe it is weak analysis to be like "death --> remember st. louis --> omgz betting!"

It looks like I missed my chance at -105 by sleeping, but -110 is good enough.

My first OGOTD pick of the year is officially: Marshall +3

Also, with the total down to 59, I'm starting to lean lightly toward the over, but I still don't think there's quite enough EV there to make it a worthwhile pick yet. If it drops to 58 before kickoff I'll take the over though. 58.5 probably still won't be quite enough.

Recent FBI statistics released just last week named the Memphis metropolitan area as the number 1 most violent for crime in America. Last year Memphis was number 2. Anyone driving through there on the way to Tunica should be very careful and hope your car doesn't break down.

This is either incorrect or mis-stated. I lived in downtown Memphis for 5 years and never had a problem. People always assume Memphis is more dangerous than it is b/c of the demographics. Anyway, I won't hijack any further.

As far as the game, my gut tells me to take Marshall in this one as they have had 10 days to prepare for this one as opposed to Memphis who had 4, 1 of which was obviously not very productive. The only thing I would note about the emotional impact of the game is that it has to be a little weird for Marshall to come in all fired up and ready to fight. Memphis can show up and be mad at the world whereas Marshall's guys kind of have to be respectful. Decent chance they could come out flat.
