Default 6.50 PS: 88 on bubble, Postflop Linecheck

Hi, too deep for shoving and I don't like open folding 88 4 handed. Villain is 44/8/4 over about 40 hands, him and the three others have been limping alot of pots at all levels. I was going to c-bet the flop but called once he donked for pot control. Thanks.

What are we putting villan on? We are fairly screwed if we call and loose? Am I being a complete donk in thinking we see Ax through AJ alot here?

That or a complete bluff after we checked the turn. And 5:1 is a good price to know.

Ok makes perfect sense.

FWIW I hate 88 etc with circa 15BB. Would you fold this from EP?

ugh its real close but i think i release this on the river. those 450 chips are super valuable and this looks a bit thin to me. other than some random 6 or 5 or 77 i really dont see a hand you beat that villain will bet with on the river. i really dont mind your passive line as it's hard to [censored] up but i can also see it being played a bit more aggressively since you're fairly deep and have position. on the turn, you could make it like 550 ish and represent a big ace. on the rivar if checked to your stack will be perfect to prestojam bc villain will almost never check the river to you with an A9 type hand (he will almost always make a defensive kind of bet).

With more behind I would definetley have bet the ace on the turn but I was really trying to keep the pot small.
