[ QUOTE ]
I guess I just don't understand a line that encompasses both checking this flop to induce action, and then folding on the river when it goes all in. If you have his range solely on KK by the river, why in the world wouldn't you bet the flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

Obv I'm almost never folding my hand to any action, but the hand played out in pretty much the only possible way that I ever could. I'm also not putting him solely on KK, I expect him to show up with 99 or 33 more often.

Also, jfish, I just watched the jman cardrunners vid and I think his thoughts also sum up well why I don't like c/r the flop. I don't like turning my range into an extremely polarized one of huge hand/air on the flop, I want to take lines that let my opponents put me on a wider range of hands. Thus, I would prefer to lead this flop or check/call

to everyone saying call, are you saying this because you believe he's bluffing or because you believe he's valueshoving A3/43 type hands? Or both?

such an awkwardly played hand
makes it difficult to put him on any range at all
even still it's a snap call

FireStorm,

To be clear, I was planning on shoving over any normal sized river bet, and if I was checked to and raised on the river I am also fistpump snapcalling. As played, however, the weaklead/shove line just screams of strength to me

this really isn't a fist pump call i mean people are just not that stupid to be pushing 3x (unless its the A) or making some crazy bluff this just really is going to be 99 or 33 alot.

you can't fold but i certainty curse my luck before i hit call.

oh just saw it was alot of action well then i call cause he is dumb.

Why would someone not push 3x here? Hero's hand looks like it's bigger then 3x?

Valueshoving worse, but it doesn't matter, you beat both options!

So then lead the flop. Now that we have his range down to hands like KK/99/33, leading the flop makes more sense. Get value out of overpairs by leading out.

If check/call was your plan the entire way down, I'm curious as to what river card you'd have felt good about if he three bet shoves? By C/Cing wasnt the plan to get it all in?

Call because we are snapping off 3x AND air hands. Also call because it makes no sense to have 88 in the playbook if we can't call here. You called and lost to KK and decided to post this without seeing the Results Oriented thread, right?
