[ QUOTE ] Seriously, this is like Red Sox fans cursing Buckner's name until 2004. [/ QUOTE ] It's been an hour you idiot. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Did He Touch Home?
Anyone who says he definitely touched the plate is delusional. Replays were inconclusive. Not a blown call necessarily. based on the replays shown on TV it would not have been over ruled if baseball had instant replay.

Re: Did He Touch Home?
There might be other replays that we haven't seen since they went through it kind of fast although it appeared to me that TBS didn't exactly have the place swarming with cameras so perhaps the angles we've seen really are the only ones available.

Re: Did He Touch Home?
Judging by Holliday's post game answer, I'd say he missed the plate.

I don't really understand the physics of it not being a home run. It bounced up and back.. if it hit the yellow thing it wouldn't move exactly opposite how it hit. [/ QUOTE ] Not necessarily. It could have hit high on the fence against the padding, or even the very top of the fence with backspin. I've seen several fly balls bounce back exactly like that after hitting the fence. |

Re: Did He Touch Home?

He was safe. It would have been fun to see it play out on the field. Bad ending to an otherwise good game. [/ QUOTE ] What does this even mean? If you believe he was safe, how did it not play out on the field, or how was it a bad ending? |
