Default NL 50: AA gets raised on dry flop

I thought there were two players in the pot, hence the too-large 3bet. What is standard against unknown villain here?

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $55.60
BB: $24.15
UTG: $59.10
MP: $58.00
CO: $57.40
BTN: $10.30

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, MP raises to $2.00, 2 folds, Hero raises to $7.00, BB folds, MP calls $5.00

Flop: ($14.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $8.00, MP raises to $17.00, Hero ?

Classic spot for a Stack-A-Donk line...

PF 3 bet size is fine...

Stack a donk is where you smoothcall the raise on flop and then c/r all in on turn. We are assuming villain is the donk and you are the stacker.

I only ask because I've been playing NL50 for 40k hands now, and I feel like a pair is never good when villain raises a flop.

The difference between your hand and my hand is that your hand is 3-bet pot...so you have to get it in. In my case, it seems I'd have to get it in also.

This is villain dependant..Some villain will "test" the PF raiser on the flop..For others they will never raise unless they have TPTK beat...

Playing against a flop raise make me very uncomfortable because a flop raise throws pot control out the window...
