JT was my first thought.

im thinking again now though and the flop/turn are so draw heavy that c/c'ing might be ok here. i dont think c/f is good.

hes more likely to push over 5800 with a hand we beat, and we would be making a huge mistake if that were the case (if we were planning on folding, that is)

and if he has A8 he probably spite calls anyway, right? people hate folding their two pair even when counterfeited

note to self: always timebank/shove when bluffing g-p

For the hand in question, I like betting around half-pot and folding to a shove. He never bluff/shoves this river and will often call with A9/A8/AsXs, etc.

This stinks of the villain hold J 9 to me, but cannot be absolutely certain. I'm firing just over half to 2/3 the pot here. If he raises me I'm gone and still have 11 - 13k to play with, which ain't bad with such low blinds huh?

If we check, the only hand that we could be worried he checks behind that woudl have called a bet is A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]X[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Anything else thats gonna call a bet is gonna bet itself right? Plus if he actually showed up with a hand that doesnt have showdown value now (or maybe 89) he could be tempted to bluff.

edit: also, if we ever fold the best hand bet-folding , i think that sucks a whole lot, enough to discourage me from takign that line, since i think its possible.
