Mesmerize had that tournament in his hand. That j3 hand was literally a 1.4 million dollar hand. No player was close to being as good as he was in the final 15. I believe Kasino was putting on a fine display, but the rest were all horrid luck sacks (or shorties like Mao, and solid nits like telefon and rokky who were only sticking it in with the goods)
I feel really bad for mesmerize and he deserved so much better. I was railing Void for like 10 hours as he was the one who replaced me on my table after i got k.o. He sat down with 100k and one of the first hand he played was this: raise to 3k (.5-1k) blinds, bb reraises to 14k, he reraised to 36 k bb called. flop q83, check check, turn 6 all rainbow, bb (who was pretty horrid) bet out 9k void raised 28k bb called. river 2, bb checks void shoves bb calls: void 86 os, bb tt. Anyway that guy must have gotten it in on the bad end at least 8 times and sucked out 4 times, the k9 vs kq hand would have virtually knocked him out pre-final table. It becomes sickening how much luck is involved in these tournaments, and for those large sums of money. Vanessa Rousso stuck it in at least twice as a major dog, and ended up cashing 500k. She also was lucky enough to have someone slow play aces preflop when she hit her set of deuces, and also be up with aa vs kk and tt all in pre three way. Of course she won, while in a similar situation another player was all in with aa vs qq and 66 and lost (with snake having folded kk, also which would have won the whole fourway pot) High stakes regulars were well represented, and it is no doubt taht maybe other than kasino, they were the best players in the final 50 or so (bebop, damadpotter, snake, mesmerize)... i am sure one or two out there also i have forgotten. Anyway congrats to all for a fine display. Oh and something i am very very proud of....
