Re: Obv dream flop...could I have got away from this??
wtf are you talking about? You got your money in good - why would you want to "get away from it"?
Edit: OK he had 55% equity, but still, no big disaster. And yeah, you could probably fold to his flop raise since he's unlikely to do it with a worse hand than yours. If you had 76 I wouldn't be going anywhere though... probably just call the raise and stick it in with a non-diamond non-board-pairing turn. |

Re: Obv dream flop...could I have got away from this??
Well the dream flop would be if you had another diamond to go with your Ad. I used to get trapped into thinking I'd flopped huge like this. As it is you were in a coinflip, which I have to say is about the worst you could've been.
No, you don't get away from that hand, certainly you don't let it haunt you. |

Re: Obv dream flop...could I have got away from this??
this is the dream flop for Ad 8d 7s 6s
but it's not for your hand. Any 76xx combination crushes you. that's not a good dream. |

Re: Obv dream flop...could I have got away from this??
foolish push on the flop. you were lucky to be in a coinflip spot there... usually you're going to be looking at 6/7 there drawing to running boat cards.

Re: Obv dream flop...could I have got away from this??
Good shove. Opponent will raise lots of hands that aren't 67 here simply because you raised preflop and C-bet the flop. Exactly as the outcome showed.
They will shove any nut flush draw, any set, usually A2 also. Of course 67 is in there too, but it's by no means always 67 unless your opponent is particularily rockish. |

Re: Obv dream flop...could I have got away from this??
I am amazed by all the nitty responses. In a raised pot when people wont put you on made straight there is nothing wrong with shoving flop. Once your opponent raises you can call, but you can only really fold when a diamond hits on the turn.

[ QUOTE ]
dream bigger [/ QUOTE ] QFT. You're probably correct to get it in here against a typical range, but a non-nut straight's certainly not a "dream flop" in PLO. |
