I've been a Mets fan my whole life - but I was happy to see the Phillies get in on the last day. They took 7 of 7 games from the Mets in September, and the Mets gave up 48 runs to the Washington Nationals in 4 games the last week of the season.
The Mets were done even if the Phillies lost the last couple of games. Delgado broke his wrist in the 1st inning so he was gone for the playoffs. Its a good wakeup call to get some quality pitching. And of course its fitting that the Phillies who did the same thing in 1964 (blowing a huge lead with 12 games left in the season) got to win this one.
